      Telephone Selling Skills  

The intensely competition is more and more fierce in our economy. Everywhere, sales forces are under tremendous pressure to boost productivity and reduce costs at the same time. There has never been a better time for businesses to develop robust, full-featured telesales strategies. A well-trained and supported telesales staff can quadruple the number of contacts you make every day, while cutting your sales costs by more than half. Once you know what you are doing, you can sell almost anything by phone that you can sell face-to-face. But you must know what you are doing.

Our Telephone Selling Skills course is designed to teach you everything you need to know to build a highly effective telesales program. Through the use of discussion, small-group exercises, and taped role-plays, this highly interactive class allows you to practice new skills as you are learning them. You will gain experience with all aspects of telemarketing, including incoming calls, outgoing calls, order taking, prospecting, selling, customer service, collection, and telephone etiquette. All practice is done using state-of-the-art technical equipment. You will receive immediate feedback and personal coaching from our senior sales trainers to assure that you get the training you need to succeed.

Participants will learn to:

  • Recognize the differences between telephone selling and face-to-face selling

  • The importance of tone, pace, pitch and vocabulary in telephone sales
